Rehan Chagla believes that volunteering for children instill life skills in lesser-privileged children and will provide them with the appropriate skill set to succeed later in life. As a student in the IBDP curriculum, he volunteered with Toybank in Grade 11 in which they focused on Toybank’s Habit building module of teaching children about health and hygiene utilizing fun educational games like flashcards as well as self-devised games.
HE also decided to run and raise funds at the Tata Mumbai Marathon which motivated him to enhance his fitness. He also conducted a workshop at Toybank in December, where he created booklets for children to teach them about Mumbai’s natural splendor and its on-going ravaging by mankind. At the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019, he reached Change Maker Status by raising INR 1.83 lakhs in support of Toybank. Also, his workshops were able to instill a sense of environmental consciousness in the children.
