Srinivas Ketha

Srinivas Ketha, a differently abled Karate champion, Grand Master, national and international level award winner and six different black-belts holder from six styles was shaken by the Nirbhaya incident in 2012 and since then decided to teach girls and women from poor backgrounds and villages self-defence through “Nirbhaya Raksha Dhal” program. He has trained more than 1 Lakh girls in self defence techniques as a director of the Raion Ryu Karate Do India. Also trained 50 fellow disabled people to increase their self-confidence and make a better livelihood.He does this all free of cost and with this program many girls and women are coming out of their comfort zone to learn self-defence. According to Srinivas he volunteers because “I volunteer because I find something incredibly satisfying about acting in a way that is consistent with my principles. Being able to say I changed something in the world, in the lives of others, gives meaning to my being here in this world.”
